This page explains what Lifeadelics collects when you use lifeadelics.com or register for one of our experiences, why we collect it, who helps us handle it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We keep it short and specific to what this website actually does.
Who we are
Lifeadelics (“we”) runs this website and our experiences from Phoenix, Arizona, and decides how your information is used. You can reach us through the contact form.
What we collect, and why
When you register for an experience we ask for:
- your first and last name, email address and phone number, so we can identify you and reach you about the event;
- whether you have joined our sessions before and whether this is your first time, how you heard about us, and what you hope to get from the experience, so we can prepare and welcome you properly;
- optional notes;
- optional health information (see below);
- an optional box to receive our newsletter.
When you pay, card details are entered into a payment form provided by our payment processor, Stripe. Your card number goes to Stripe, not to us, and we do not see or store it. We keep a record that a payment was made (the amount, its status and a reference) so we can confirm your place and handle refunds.
When you use the contact form we receive what you type into it, such as your name, email address and message, and we use it to reply to you.
When you subscribe to the newsletter we keep your email address and, if you choose to give them, your first and last name. Newsletter emails are sent through Resend, an email delivery service. You can unsubscribe at any time, using the link in our emails or by asking us to remove you.
Health information
The registration form has two optional questions: medications and health concerns. You choose whether to answer. We ask so the people running the experience can look after participants safely. Only Lifeadelics staff who run events or administer the site can see your answers. We do not sell health information or use it for marketing. It is not medical advice, and we do not give any: please talk to your own doctor about anything that affects whether you should take part.
Cookies and tracking
We do not use advertising cookies. To see how many people visit the site, we use Umami, an analytics service that we run ourselves. It does not set cookies in your browser. It counts page views and records the pages you view, the site that sent you, your approximate location (country) and your device and browser type, and it tells one visit from another with an anonymous identifier that it generates and rotates itself. It does not keep your IP address. We use it only to understand how the site is used; we do not use it for advertising, and we do not link it to your registration or newsletter details.
The only cookie is a sign-in cookie used by our own staff when they log in to manage the site. Our staff sign in with a Google account.
Our pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, so when a page loads your browser contacts Google, which can receive your IP address and browser details. Our hosting provider also handles ordinary connection data, such as IP addresses, to deliver the website.
Who helps us handle your information
We share information with the services that run the website for us, and only for that purpose. We do not sell it.
- Stripe, to take payments and issue refunds.
- Resend, to send newsletter emails.
- Amazon Web Services, which hosts the website and stores our records in the United States.
- Google, for staff sign-in and the fonts described above.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep registration and payment records for as long as we need them to run our events, handle refunds and meet our record-keeping obligations. We keep contact messages until we no longer need them or you ask us to delete them. We keep newsletter details until you unsubscribe.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you, or correct it;
- delete it, apart from records we must keep, such as a payment record;
- remove your health information;
- take you off the newsletter.
Ask through the contact form and we will reply.
Security
The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and only signed-in staff can see registration details. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, so we cannot promise perfect security.
Children
This website and our experiences are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this page
If we change how we handle information we will update this page and its “Last updated” date. See also our Terms and Refunds and Cancellations.
